Gardening
Creative gardening is my bread-and-butter. Designers like Sarah Price, Ula Maria and Elizabeth Tyler approach me when seeking someone they can trust to sensitively nurture their gardens and ensure their singular visions are fulfilled over the long term. I regularly garden with Marc O’Neill in the Piet Oudolf garden at Maggie’s at the Royal Marsden, a gig I find especially rewarding, as well as working on my own projects.
Alongside long term care and development, I can rejuvenate existing gardens, design and plant from scratch. I work collaboratively, with clients, designers, architects, landscapers and other gardeners, depending on the scope of the brief.
Above, a range of spaces I’ve gardened, including The Exchange, designed by Sarah Price, pictured under my head gardenership; Gerry’s Pompeii; pot displays at Great Dixter; a private London garden designed by Sarah Price; a London garden designed by Ula Maria; several other private gardens and personal projects
Installations
I frequently join planting teams to collaborate on show gardens (at RHS Chelsea, for Sarah Price, Lilly Gomm and as a mentoring assistant for new designers with Project Giving Back) and installations (Luciano Giubbelei for Hermès at the Garde Républicaine; Cargill Sykes for Gucci at the Tate Modern; The Garden for Hermès, New Bond Street and Chanel at Royal Ascot; Marc O’Neill at the Garden Museum).
